GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL UNIMED POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES

A candidate must have O’ Level Credit passes in English Language and Mathematics, plus three other relevant subjects in WAEC, NECO, GCE or equivalent.

a. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
• Graduates of UNIMED or other recognized universities in relevant areas.
• HND holders with a minimum of Lower Credit in relevant disciplines.

b. Master’s Degree
• Bachelor’s Degree with at least Second Class Honours in relevant fields.
• Third-Class or HND holders with PGD (minimum CGPA of 3.50 or Upper Credit).
• PGD/PGDE holders must also meet basic O’ Level entry requirements.

c. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
• Master’s Degree with a minimum weighted average of 60% from a recognized university.

Additional Requirements:
• Completed application form

• Academic transcripts
• Three reference letters
• 500-word statement of intent
• NYSC certificate (for Nigerian citizens)
• Transcripts must be sent directly to the Secretary, Postgraduate School via post and email: secpgs@unimed.edu.ng
• Include your email and phone number when applying.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Eligible candidates should log on to the University website: www.unimed.edu.ng

Then, take the following steps:

  1. Click on Admission
  2. Click on Postgraduate
  3. Click on Apply Here button
  4. Fill the required information
  5. Select your programme of choice
  6. Click Continue
  7. Click Payment and choose your category (Doctorate / Masters / Postgraduate Diploma)
  8. Note: Use MasterCard or Visa card only. Verve is not accepted.
  9. After successful payment, you will be redirected to the Application Form.
  10. Print your application receipt and use the details provided (REG No. and TRANSACTION ID) to access your application form.
  11. Fill the Biodata and Academic Records forms, upload necessary documents.
  12. Click Submit and then print your application slip.

The completed forms and all documents should be submitted latest by 30th September, 2025.
